Step into the heart of the Houston jazz scene as La Mesha, a collaborative group co-led guitarist and vocalist John Calderon and pianist Dr. Jose-Miguel Yamal, headline the first annual Houston Professional Musician's Union Festival de la Herencia Hispana at the POST Houston, in the Penthouse. The POST Houston Penthouse provides the perfect backdrop for a night of soulful melodies, intricate latin-jazz rhythms, and vibrant improvisation.

La Mesha is a collaboration between Jose-Miguel Yamal (piano), John Calderon (guitar and vocals), David Caceres (saxophone and vocals), Mark Simmons (drums), and Anthony McKinney (bass) and is inspired by jazz music and its groove-based derivatives. La Mesha is testing ground for new musical ideas…
